DKO Bootcamp 2025: From "I" to "We" – A Journey of Growth & Unity

On February 11-12, 2025, the DKO family came together for our much-anticipated 2D1N Bootcamp at Sarimbun Scout Camp. This year’s theme, "I" to "We", set the tone for a transformative experience focused on personal growth, teamwork, and alignment towards a greater 2025.

Despite the relentless downpour, our spirits remained high, proving that resilience and commitment define the DKO team.

Day 1: Unlocking Our Potential & Defining Our Goals

Breaking mental barriers with George Lee, NLP Master Trainer

We kicked off the bootcamp with an inspiring session by our esteemed guest speaker, George Lee, an NLP Master Trainer. He guided us in breaking mental barriers, helping us visualize bigger goals and, more importantly, owning our accountability in achieving them.

Following his session, we dived into our agency goal-setting discussion, led by Camp Director & Senior Financial Services Manager, Alicia Ng. This was a powerful moment of reflection and alignment as we laid the groundwork for our aspirations in 2025.

To reinforce self-awareness and individuality, we had a creative LEGO activity, where each of us built a character that symbolized our unique traits and strengths. The evening continued with team bonding over dinner, followed by dedicated team practice for our performances on Day 2.

Day 2: Strategy, Strength & The Power of Letting Go

We started the morning with an energizing workout led by our beloved motherly figure, Mary, ensuring we were physically and mentally charged for the day. After a hearty breakfast, we jumped into our strategic planning session, where we broke into three teams to discuss and develop actionable strategies for 2025.

After praying hard for clear skies, the rain finally stopped, allowing us to proceed with our outdoor adventure activities! The highlight was the Water Rafting Challenge, where each team had to construct a raft that could float and carry at least four members—a test of teamwork, problem-solving, and trust.

DKO Campfire Night

As night fell, we gathered around for the grand finale—the Campfire Night. This was more than just a celebration; it was a moment of symbolic renewal. Each of us took turns pledging to discard the habits and mindsets we didn’t want to carry into 2025, making way for a stronger, more unified team. We wrapped up the night with team performances and interactive games, ending the bootcamp on a high note.

A huge thank you to every DKO family member who pulled through this challenging 2D1N experience. We know it wasn’t easy—the unpredictable weather, basic amenities, and bento meals tested our adaptability—but your presence and commitment truly exemplified the DKO spirit.

Through this bootcamp, we reinforced that success is not just about "I"—it’s about "We." Together, we step into 2025 with a renewed vision, stronger bonds, and unstoppable momentum.
