Derek embarked on his journey with a simple yet powerful belief: that financial services is fundamentally a people business.

Despite introverted beginnings and varied early jobs — including time in the Singapore Navy — Derek discovered his calling and built DKO on a foundation of mentorship and shared growth.

Recognising that real success comes from uplifting others — and by collaborating beyond traditional industry boundaries — Derek grew DKO into one of Prudential’s most productive agency networks, with a strong emphasis on training, leadership development, and holistic client support.
